Leadership Team

Founder and Chief Outfitter
Mike Arnold

marnold@teamcto.org

Mike Arnold has been serving others since his
days as a campus evangelist at the University of
Texas at Austin.
His service has taken him to a range of fields,
from political consulting, to the marketplace, and
finally to full-time ministry.
In politics, Mike managed campaigns for conservative Christian candidates in Texas and was founding editor of The Lone Star Report, a conservative "political insider" publication based in Austin.
In business, Mike was co-founder and executive vice president of a regional broadcast television news network. Later, he served as business development director of Texas Trophy Hunters Association, a top media business in the outdoors industry.
While at Texas Trophy Hunters, Mike felt a call from the Lord to minister to people through the outdoors. He followed this call, resigned his position, and founded the Christian Outdoor Alliance. Under his leadership, the group ran Hunting & Fishing Adventure Camps for three summers, pioneering the concept.
Realizing the power that the Lord worked in the lives of the campers during the camp experience, he founded Cross Trail Outfitters to reach young men for Christ on a wider scale.
Mike holds an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He and his wife, Amy, live in San Antonio and homeschool their four children.

“Christian ministries come and go, but as the years have gone on I have found in Mike Arnold brilliant organizational abilities, a strategy for the Kingdom and a compassion for people that are often overlooked by the church as well as society.  He reminds me of Christ in a passage about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo.  He is willing and as consistent walking through the fire of hard times with others as he is when everything is going comfortably.  Unlike so many fair weather ministries and leaders, Mike is constant and diligent. He captains this ship of compassion with excellence and in a perfect reflection of Jesus Christ.”

Duke Jonietz comes to CTO with a business background in marketing and direct mail. A man’s man, it is not surprising that Duke came to know Christ at a Promise Keeper’s Conference in June of 1995.
Responding to God’s call on his life, he entered full time ministry as a missionary to the city of San Antonio and over the past 10 years has birthed several vibrant ministries and seen thousands begin a relationship with Christ.
Trained in the ministry of fund development by Campus Crusade for Christ, Duke brings his coaching skills, his experiences and his faith to the endeavor to Take CTO to the Nation . In addition, his ability to lead Spiritually has proven a valuable asset to the staff of Cross Trail Outfitters and their partners.
He and his wife Debbie have raised two Godly men, Joshua and Jacob and count them as their greatest accomplishments.
